Personal Trainer – My name is Jordan Boatwright. I am a personal trainer whose fitness journey started about 6 years ago with a background in a mix of bodybuilding, power lifting and HIIT. Playing high school sports is what first introduced me to fitness and my interest only grew from there. I studied Exercise Science for 2 years at GSU and RCCC. I now have two personal trainer certifications. I specialize in weight loss, athletic conditioning, strength straining and muscle gain.

I love to laugh! Most people tell me they can hear me laughing a mile away. I like to have fun regardless of what I’m doing and I love helping others. I have a huge passion for fitness and nutrition that was influenced by years of being an athlete. I’m a native Charlotte-an and grew up in the South Charlotte area. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. After graduating in December 2012, I started working as an Executive Team Leader for Target in January 2013. After 5 years of retail management and working long hours and every holiday I knew it was time to pursue my dream. I obtained my Personal Training Certification last year (2017) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have less than a year of experience, but a wealth of knowledge from several sports related injuries and overcoming the rehabilitation process several times. I’m very committed to helping you succeed at whatever your goals may be!

Sarah Hayes Harkins

Sarah Hayes Harkins began her dance training in Asheville, NC and then continued on to The University at North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in Ballet.  She has since been a professional dancer in Charlotte Ballet for 10 seasons, and is currently one of their Principal Dancers.

Mathew Snow

Personal Trainer: So my name is Matthew Snow (aka Snowman), my journey started about 10 years ago when I went through a major traumatic incident to my body. I broke my femur bone in my left leg followed some other complications in my right leg. This journey has continued through the years and was always a hardship on me because it just never seemed to stop.
My fitness journey has always been intertwined with my limits until 7 years ago where I stopped letting them take over. Before then I was always not caring about fitness until I got involved with Army ROTC. Tho I wasn’t able to pursue a career in the military I learned a valuable lesson. Injuries don’t define us and they certainly don’t limit us.
I’ve since worked in the fitness industry in some form or fashion from supplements sales to gym memberships and now training where my story is able to inspire and uplift those who might think that they can’t when they should!

Nancy Swan

Nutrition Dietetic Technician, Registered, Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional

Nancy Swan is a Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician, Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional, and Certified Group Fitness Instructor.  She has been working in fitness and weight management since 1990 and has helped hundreds of people reach and maintain their health and fitness goals.  Her personalized meal plans are created to accommodate each clients preferences and are adjusted weekly to avoid plateaus.

Aside from private nutrition counseling, Nancy offers corporate wellness workshops and personal chef services.  

She currently works in nutrition and behavioral health at TranscendED and is also employed by iEdapts, where she developed a nutrition program that focuses on healthful eating on a budget and nutrition education for low-income families.  This program was approved to be implemented into the North Carolina Head Start programs, beginning with Gaston County Schools.

Corrie Thomas

 

Corrie Thomas, MS, RD, CSO, LD/N

Corrie earned her Master’s of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University, and is a Board Certified Oncology Dietitian. Her background includes sports and exercise nutrition, consulting for substance abuse facilities, eating disorders, coordinating home nutrition support for tube feeding patients, corporate wellness, diabetes management, and teaching continuing education courses for medical professionals.  Corrie has worked with people of all ages, from pediatric through geriatric care.  She has a special interest in tailoring nutritional programs to help each client achieve their individual goals.

Nutrition is a passion for Corrie.  She wants to reach out to the local community to promote health and wellness by helping you with pantry makeovers, grocery shopping tours, family nutrition sessions, individual nutrition counseling, and meal plans. Corrie can provide individualized meal plans with tasty recipe ideas, as well as, work with people who are diagnosed with diseases, such as Type I and Type II diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer, and more.
